ABSTRACT

There are many forms of manual medicine technique that incorporate the “Indirect Method.” These techniques include (but are not limited to) balanced ligamentous tension (BLT), facilitated positional release (FPR), indirect myofascial release (iMFR) and counterstrain CST). Indirect method techniques are frequently the clinician’s manual treatment of choice because they often offer optimal benefit-to-risk profiles for certain populations or pathophysiologic conditions. 

This workshop will help participants better tailor their manipulative prescription for many common clinical conditions and for patients who might not tolerate direct method techniques. The faculty includes seasoned clinicians who will offer a number of practical clinical tips and release-enhancing maneuvers (REMs) to safely and efficiently perform a variety of indirect techniques in each of the body regions. 
Participants seeking to fine-tune and speed their hands-on skills in applying indirect method techniques will benefit from an excellent faculty:participant ratio and a format offering significant time for the hands-on practice and review required to gain mastery.
